We are seeking two graduate students to join our team as we develop a new course for graduate students. The new course will enable and empower HQP in STEM to build lifelong learning and professional skills more equitably. The course will have five key modules: metacognition, project management, resilience, navigating difficult conversations, and mentorship.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, have excellent collaboration skills, be willing to learn new skills, demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft software (e.g., Word, Excel), and have a background in science. Students will be involved in the design and implementation of the curriculum, and be a vital voice in co-creating the final course.
We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, including Indigenous Peoples in Canada, visible minorities members (racialized persons), persons with disabilities, and women.
The role can be taken on as a teaching assistantship, research assistantship, or as part of a graduate degree in a science program. The time commitment is approximately 10 hours/week.
