Together with Dr. Peter Mahaffy (The King’s University), Dr. Ghislain Deslongchamps (University of New Brunswick), Dr. Jenepher Lennox-Terrion (University of Ottawa), and Dr. Roy Tasker (Purdue University), Alison received a 2018-2019 Insight Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
Their proposal, titled “Visualizing and learning STEM: How might we equitably and inclusively equip learners with Systems Thinking, mental models, and mechanistic reasoning?”, received $310,225 through the Insight Grant. Out of approximately 18,000 applications submitted, Alison and collaborators’s application was one of 5,782 to receive the grant.
