Alison co-authored an article on writing a Teaching Philosophy Statement (TPS) in University Affairs with Dr. Gavan Watson (Associate Vice President, Teaching and Learning, at Memorial University) and Dr. Jay Wilson (Associate Professor and Head of Curriculum Studies at the University of Saskatchewan).
The article highlights how Teaching Philosophy Statements can serve many purposes, including connecting with students and highlighting personal growth as an educator. The article also discusses how TPS’s should be based in scholarly literature on teaching and learning, including literature on writing a TPS.
